Our Accommodations
At the end of the day you want to relax and have somewhere comfortable to rest your head, a good meal, a warm bath and maybe a cold ale, although not necessarily in that order. Japan has a vast array of possibilities when it comes to spending the night, and the fact is, not all places are equal. Our approach to choosing accommodation is simple. We try to choose the best available in any given location. Sometimes, our best option is a luxury western hotel, while sometimes, in rural areas or small coastal villages, the best or only option may be a small but charming basic inn. Traditional Inns (Ryokans) are always our first choice. These give you that extra insight into the Japanese way of life and allow you to experience the classic style of accommodation that has greeted Japanese travellers for centuries.

Hot Spring Baths
Indulge in post-ride relaxation – a serene immersion in rejuvenating hot spring baths. Picture yourself immersed neck-deep in a pool-sized bath, where thermal waters work their soothing magic on tired muscles. Many inns we visit boast natural hot spring baths, or ‘onsen’, adding therapeutic luxury to your cycling adventure.
Some inns also feature ‘rotenburo’, outdoor hot spring baths nestled in enchanting landscapes often surrounded by a sparkling green forest, enhancing the sensory delight of your hot spring soak.
These rejuvenating amenities ensure your evenings are a time to luxuriate in the healing embrace of Japan's renowned hot spring culture. After a day in the saddle, let the onsen be your sanctuary, inviting you to unwind, rejuvenate, and remember the day’s cycling escapade.
